Áine's journey from farm to fine art began outside of Virginia, Cavan. She found a passion for practical, tactile work growing up on her family’s dairy farm. After some time trialing creative and cultural industry study and building her portfolio, she arrived at Technology University Dublin to study Fine Art. It was here her interest in ceramics was sparked - learning the process of sculpting, handbuilding and slip casting.

Áine has since spent time in Berlin as a Working Artist in Ceramic Kingdom honing her craft throwing on the wheel, soaking up the knowledge of other studio members and seeing the benefits of a vibrant community studio.

Located back in Cavan since mid 2023, Áine creates ceramic work and facilitates classes from her studio. She has previously exhibited work at Argillà Italia, International Ceramics Festival, the National Craft & Design Gallery, Co Kilkenny and the 190th RHA Annual.
